Strange one this. Rode last year on a Prologo nago evo pas saddle (134) and had no problems. This year, having changed nothing on the bike setup, my undercarriage is in absolute tatters with pressure sores. New shorts have had no effect either. To that end I'm looking to change to a wider flat saddle such as the Fizik Anteras. Can anyone recommend another similar saddle 140+?

I think the Aliante is slightly more rounded and the Prologo in shape probably sits between the two. I've been undecided on which one to buy so I may just get both on ebay and resell the other.

A decent LBS will often have a loaner so you can try before you buy.

Yes, Bontrager Serano. I ride the RL on my training bike and RXL on the race bike .... struggled with the Bontrager Paradigm, Affinity (both 143mm wide) before I tried another few including a Fizik Antarres VS, Selle Italia SLR and a Massa carbon saddle. The Serano has a rounded shape so just doesn't cause any pressure points for me. I bought a few used saddles from ebay before deciding and then reselling the ones I couldn't get on with.

Fizik Antares is a good shout, also Specialized saddles in wider widths. The Power might be a good one.

The Aliante is not flat and wide? It's a hammock style saddle.

Antares is flat but isn't especially wide at about 140mm, same as the Arione which is flat and long but narrow.

Another flat and wide is the Specialized Toupe, flat profile and available in different widths.

I personally didn't get on with the Toupe but like the Romin in 155mm width.

You could go to a bike shop and get your sit bones measured as a starting point.

I have a Specialized Romin 168mm and it's superb. Looks a bit odd at that size but you get used to it.

How about the new Specialized Power saddle?

Supposed to be a combination of the Toupe and Romin.

The Romin is far from flat. The Toupe is a lot flatter.

I've got 3 Romins and 1 Power all in 155mm width.

The Power, for me is a shorter distance saddle, it's good but it's not all day good.

It was designed for riding on the drops, helping tilt your pelvis into a more aggressive position and of course it has the snub nose a la TT saddles.

The Romin is quite flat, front to back but has more rounded shoulders than the Toupe. The Toupe 143mm that came on my Tarmac left me in agony but I really get on with the Romin.
