Porsche Cayenne creaking around steering column area.
Discussion
I have a 2014 Cayenne diesel and since new there has been a creaking sound in the area of the steering column which increases in frequency as you apply the accelerator pedal. Porsche seem unable to sort out the problem!! Has anyone had the same symptom and, if so, what is the remedy?
Is it the clockspring (airbag squib)?
My 911 was very creaky until I changed it. It is the ribbon of cable for the undicator stalks and steeringwheel controls that sits on the column and unwinds/retracts like a tapemeasure whenever you steer left and right. Very small movement's made mine creak a lot, particularly on hot days.
