MTB - 27.5" suspension forks on 26" frame/wheels
Discussion
Hi All,
I have an older Specialized Rockhopper which I've had since new. I love the bike and wish to get back into mtb'ing, I mostly ride easy on trails like Swinley Forest and Bedgebury (any other suggestions in SE UK?). I'm just an occasional rider, no competitions etc.
I'm looking at changing the forks as the stock Manitou Axel are a bit off now. After a couple of days research I've decided that a set of Rockshox Reba RL is my preferred choice (good reviews, easy to maintain, good value for the components).
Thing is, there are better deals on the 27.5" forks than on the 26" ones.
So, question is, can they be fitted and will it ruin the bike? Being a tall chap the bike is 21" frame, so already not the nimblest of things.
Thanks!
