At that price it'll be down to what the supermarket has really.. Do you know what the intended recipient likes to drink?

Ah..

Waitrose had an offer on Aberlour 12 and they also had a Talisker. If you can stretch to 25-35 then you'll definitely find something.

Monkey Shoulder is a blend that includes, amongst others, Glenfiddich so it might not be a bad idea.

It wouldn't feature in my top ten at your budget, but I have different tastes.

You can normally find Jura Origin for about £25 at the supermarkets. It's good for someone who doesn't normally like drink scotch.

Yup. £23.99 in my local B&M (horrible place) at the moment.

A bargain although it really isn't that great.
Another few quid gets you some much nicer things.

The sherry cask finiahed Glen alba I bought in Aldi is nice but I think that was closer to £30.

Yes, a darn good whisky @ £25 . Really opens up with a drop of water. Cannot go wrong with that particular whisky at that price.

Another vote for that at £25; good value indeed.

Although Morrison's used to sell Tormore Speyside for about the same price, which - although totally different in character - was equally agreeable.
