Apologies if anyone else has already posted this but as there's a couple of threads about Burghley convoys from other locations thought it'd be time to put this up as well.

South Mimms services on the A1 seems to be the most appropriate gathering point. I'll be driving through Highgate (again!) so could meet some locals on North Hill along the way. smile

UPDATE:

South Mimms Services - 7.00am to 7.30am
Aiming to get to Burghley for 9.00am via the Hatfield Tunnel!

1. Nijius Maximus - V12 Vantage
2. cowboyengineer - Porsche GT3
3. Chevykevv - V8 Vantage Roadster
4. Wobbly - DB9 Volante
5. DaveV8V - V8 Vantage

Damn that sounds good. If I made a weekend of it I KNOW I'd be too hungover to enjoy Burghley... biggrin

Will you be alright to tow my V12V to Burghley the next morning if I stay the weekend? I heard these DBS models, albeit old fashioned, can be quite powerful...biggrin

We live just off Junction 15 of the A1 so i'll park in a strategic way to see you coming and join on the back.

Hi Ed, do non display cars still have to register? Is there not general parking for the public?

If not then my mistake and I'll have to give him the bad news... nono

I was asked to put in a consideration for associate brands which I did.

This will be privileged parking on the same grounds as the Astons but miles away from the general parking.

It was requested that people should register to give me a fighting chance of knowing what to expect.

Would you take him to the theatre without checking they had tickets before you set off…….confused

If as it appears you have missed this in of please ensure he is right behind you on arrival and I being a good egg and all round hero will sort him out.

If I'm not on the approach when you arrive make sure he follows you and the Aston Arrows.

He will have to pay the tenner on the gate and be parked with the assorted exotica though,I will stand down my trained sniper team to allow his entrance.

Stewards will look after him.

He might like to make a small donation for giving me kittens at this late stage as penance : http://bit.ly/1Sga3cV

Blimey I'm good to you Nijius……….rolleyes
