Andy,

There's a FAQ thread on Website feedback that I put together on this issue.

If you can't find it let me know and I'll look for the text version.

Cheers,

or place one on a website if you have one, and then just paste the URL into the box on the profile form.

If you subscribe to an Internet Service provider, you may find you have some diskspace on there server you can use to store photos and stuff.

I've got my profile to link to my ISP's servers to show my car pic but how do some of the clever people on here fix it so the that the pic displays directly in their profile - without having to click on a link?
thanx - Paul

Paul,

Use the formatting codes [pic] xxx.jpg [/pic] but with spaces removed.

Sorry to be dense, but where do I put this formatting code? Does it add on to the URL link or should it be somewhere on my ISP's server?

I am an html ignoramus so simple words would be gratefully received.

Thanks for your help - Paul

Easiest way to see how it works is to find a reply on here with a photo in it, click on quote, and it shows you the html formatting. Copy that, buit with the link address to your photo in the html sandwich. that's how I learnt!

Blimey, I must be thick (leaving himself wide open to abuse). Can't get it to work.

If the link to my ISPs server is:

http://homepage.mac.com/paul.ambrose/TVR/PhotoAlbum4.html

and the image is: DSC0061.jpg

what goes where?

I've tried every combination - wrongly - as I can't get the image to appear in my profile.

Appreciate some help from one of the really helpful guys out there.

Thanks

Paul

Paul,

Try this code, just add < at the start and > at the end, then it should display, like the picture below:

img src="http://homepage.mac.com/paul.ambrose/.Pictures/DSC00061.jpg" border="1"

Nice car BTW

Rich.

Handbrake on the Griff seems fine (so far) unlike the Cerbera I had which had a handbrake (allegedly) that was double-crap!

Thanks

Go to your dealer/specialist and ask them nicely to sort out your handbrake so that it actually works - and if they can't then go to a dealer/specialist who can!

Also, if you put your foot on the brake when applying and releasing the handbrake it makes it a bit easier to get it on nice and tight (ooh-err-missus)

TVR handbrakes do work, they are just in need of some correct adjustment most of the time

Hi, on the profile page, you do not need to put the "pic" tags either side of the web address, you only do that in a page.
