I have been very lax with stretching after exercise but last week I decided to make more of any effort. I was doing isolated hamstring stretches and discovered that the flexibility between my left and right leg various considerably. On my left I can grab my toes and pull my foot straight. On my right I struggle to even reach my ankle.

Not sure if its related by whenever I get niggles or pain, it is always in the right leg.

Is this normal and anything I can do about it? Other than stretching the right leg more?

Perfectly normal. At the yoga class I go to they are always stressing the point that nobody is equally bendy on each side, one side is always better than the other, and sometimes it's not always the same side, it can swap day to day.

What he said! ^^^

Congrats on reaching your toes, my left I am lucky if I can reach mid shin, right is even worse, add to that I have torn my right calf muscle twice - properly - so they are getting even more and more un-even.
