Healthcare insurance - recommendations etc.
Discussion
I've yet to speak to my accountant in detail about this but looking at doing some groundwork before i do.
i'm thinking about giving "Private healthcare" as a "benefit" to my employee (ie me)
Apart from the usual BUPA does anyone have any recommendations of company that works well wit small businesses?

I do not bother, the NHS is still good enough for me. The tax hit each year on being provided health cover is too high in my view.
Edited to add: As it is your own company there are no real benefits, you save the Corporation Tax as an allowable expense, but pay personal Income Tax on the benefit instead.

Unless of course you need to make a claim in which case the benefits can be enormous. Edited to add: As it is your own company there are no real benefits, you save the Corporation Tax as an allowable expense, but pay personal Income Tax on the benefit instead.
My P11D figure is less than £700 for the entire year for me and my wife as a couple. So the actual cost is less than half of that.
