Right, ok with all this "modding" chat kicking about today I thought I would start one on my biggest complaint.

I really dislike the cheap plastic steering column in my 3R. I think it really lets the car down.

Has anybody had any alternatives fitted or thought more on this?

I've looked at it, thought it looks cheap and nasty, but honestly not though about making it better. The two halves don't even look like they meet properly

Guess you could get it leather covered, but frankly if you start down the road of making the interior nicer, its going to end up costing a lot of money!

What were you thinking? A polished billet aluminum "street rod style" steering column, like an Idiit column?
