The other day I chanced upon something I'd completely forgotten I had.

Covered in dust was a spare OZ 8-spoke wheel. It got me thinking what other parts must be out there tucked away in boxes 'just in case' but probably won't be needed any time soon.

I know I've got a set of rear lights somewhere too.

What parts are you hiding away 'just in case', knowing they're far too rare to buy if something were to break?

I've got a lovely box of stainless fasteners and washers that I got from a rather distinguished fellow on here when we happened to meet at a hotel car park in Calais. He was distributing these boxes in return for a charitable donation to the charity Work Aid.

They're not, I'm afraid. The smoked ones are on my car.

That is a rather sobering thought...getting quite a collection. Mind you the car is due to pass on to my son (hopefully at some still quite distant time) so he will need them. Spare engine, another block, a crank, 4 heads, cam, gaskets etc, injection system etc, 2 each tail lights, a chunk of the world stock of Terrano front indicators, door handles, small crate of other stuff, lots of stainless bolts etc etc.
Oh dear, I am becoming a hoarder!!
Mind you Glen has a complete spare car!!!

New hubs? Where did you get those from if you don't mind me asking.

Thanks

They are actually reconditioned units. Fronts come with drive flanges. Purchased from Kit spares. Tel:01623 860990

i opted for the plated ones, i believe they do Black powder coated too.

Fronts £150 a pair, rears £160.00 pair.

They were very helpful, good quality units too

Oh dear, just think of all those concourse originality points you're losing. They'd be fine on my already way-not-original car though laugh

If my car was concours, there wouldn't now be holes in the outriggers.
