It's getting a little silly now, we've nearly rounded them all up. Anyway I picked up this a few weeks ago. Might be familiar to a few...

600 miles of this:

and a bit of boating on Windermere

After the shakedown it was off to BR for their full lance kit I've also had the V12 sport throttle map, its bloody brilliant!

I'll be sad to see the V12V go but this possibly the only Aston that could have gotten me out of it smile

Nice one mate, great pictures, looks like you're really enjoying it.

How you finding it compared to the V12V? smile

Hehe Dutchie noticed the drivers stitching instantly and has offered to fix it once she confident enough with the machine, I don't really care all that much smile

It's brilliant, but that was a given.
The cold hard truth it, after 700 miles, I think it's a better car (for me). On a short test drive there isn't that much difference between the two but once I got on the A/B roads around the lakes, Wales and the forest of Bowland I really started to appreciate it.

I had to have the V12V sport throttle map put on because I found the DBS throttle a little dead, it sounds silly in a powerful v12 but you've obviously driven yours in sport and normal modes and if like me, the v12v was always in sport.

I've driven both back to back and the V12V is just too damn harsh, I remember going from the V8V to the V12 and thinking it was a tough nut, you do get use to it but flitting between the two last week left me in no doubt that the V12V should have adaptive damping and if I had borrowed the DBS and was keeping the V12V it'd be straight down to BR for their adaptive kit, I'm definitely of the opinion this would make the V12V absolutely perfect!

In terms of driving, I think the Vantage is a little more lively and has better feel through the steering and feels a bit more nimble. The DBS is a long beasty and definitely more of a GT. Overall there really isn't much in it, for me the adaptive suspension just makes the DBS that bit more pleasant.

NICE :-) congrats on the new car... interesting to hear the diff between V12V and DBS..

I loved my V8V loved the looks and thought about a V12VS - but just really love the DBS - everything about it.. even after 2 years!!

Saying that... ermmm I've made a little mistake and stupidly just been out with Derby AM in a Vanquish 8sp!

That's the only other modern Aston that'd have gotten me out of the v12v.
How was it?

amazing... like really amazing.. I have a flappy paddle DBS.. both V12... both Flappy paddle... what could be different!! BUT WOW!!
Serious ££££ to change for an 8speed not sure if its that much better - man maths needed :-) as I'm still loving my DBS after 2 years.. hmmm

Sort of thinking keep the DBS and buy a track Aston ;-)

I'm pretty sure Dave would say yes! I'm picking my DBS up this week, last Aston was a V8V, so I'll let you know!
