Does anyone know of any week long courses/experiences in:
Rally Driving
Drifting
Track racing
Etc...?

I've saved about £2500 to spank on something awesome for my 30th bday, and instead of the usual holiday/trip away I'm looking to do something along the lines of an experience day (but go BIG!)

So instead of the usual £200odd for 4 laps in a super car, does anyone know of any courses/driving schools where I can get some serious seat time and hopefully learn some real skills?!

Cheers,
Rich

If you want something a bit different, I took my dad on a two-day traction engine driving course ( http://steam-traction.co.uk/). Certainly something you don't get an opportunity to learn about during normal road driving.

not sure there are that many 5 day courses, found this one

http://www.catdrivertraining.co.uk/driver-training...

alternatively you could do a few things like

http://www.palmersport.com/

^^ that is an amazing day

or things like phil price rally,

an F1 experience at Paul Ricard

https://www.agsformule1.com/en/driving-courses/for...

google is your friend,

the only one of the above I have done is the palmersport day , which was awesome, the instructors push you rather than protect the car.

Other things to consdier would be some one 2 one tution and track day hire or you may even be able to take part in a race in someone else's car like this

http://www.boss-racing.co.uk/car-selection/

or Johnny at Bookatrack might be of some help.

Do the 5 mile tailbacks behind you not spoil the experience though?

Bookatrack can get you on a full day track day at Donnington in one of their Caterhams, with instruction. You won't want the entire day in the hot seat, so perhaps consider sharing the cost with a good friend.

1) It's in a rural area, so not really an issue.
2) Sod 'em.

We did see a (prototype?) P1 in camo while we out, though, not sure what that was doing out there!
