Surprised not to see any pics threads yet this year, so thought I'd try and encourage some posting to let me know what I missed by staying home this year

I've tried for years to get a sharp glowing-brake-disk shot like that and never quite managed it. Was that at the new Arnage enclosure?

I would love to say that it demonstrates my prowess with the 'ole box brownie, however the hundred or so other shots of blurred muck belie that. I took loads and only got 4 sharp ones The shot is through Indianapolis taken from the new bank they have built there. They have really made some great improvements around all that area.

A lot of luck is indeed involved but I have tended to find that setting the ISO setting high, with the aperture wide open at around 100th/125th of a second will do it. Pan with the car from your waist.

It's a fab shot and I'm really looking forward to seeing the new enclosure next year
