Well Darren, if you will insist on living in a rough area like Bucks, you have to expect that sort of thing! wink

I don't think there was ever a locking cap available for the Scimitar/ Rapier H120/ TVR S Series, but Steve Heath mentions two ingenious locking methods in the TVR S Series "Bible".

The second one is best. It involves fitting a threaded rod with a thumb wheel on the end inside the boot, through the wall at the rear of the bodywork recess for the filler cap assembly. When screwed in, it contacts the lower part of the release latch, preventing it from allowing the filler cap to open. To release, it you have to unscrew the threaded rod from inside the boot.

Probably the most effective anti-theft method is to do it the Phillpot way. He has done away with the external fuel filler cap altogether. smile

try this... smile

guess the down side is that rather than just loosing a tank of fuel Mr. Thieving Scumbag may do some nasty damage trying to prise the cap open should he be equipped with more than a Jerry can and length of pipe scratchchin

Scroll down a bit... wink

Phillpot

That's ingenious!

I was thinking of re routing the neck similar to the Chimaera, meaning you accessed through the boot, its a lot of work and i'd need a neck design to allow free flow of spillage.

I'm guessing your idea could be upgraded using a solenoid or a cable pull on some sort of sprung pin ..... off to the drawing board
