We were talking in the office as one of my colleagues said I appeared at his front door in a dream he had last night, seems that is generally a taboo and that most dont voice their dreams as they can be mortally embarrassing.

Imagine then, if the technology could be created to record dreams, in full high definition for viewing later, so instead of a vivid full on experience wafting away like a mist on a sunny morning withing seconds of waking, you can then view it, in full later.

Then, imagine the terror, if via an inevitable linking up with say Facebook, they got automatically uploaded and tagged via facial recognition all the folk in your dream.....

Apparently a bit like "Black Mirror" (which I havent seen) but what would happen ?

Lots of divorcing I imagine hehe

Not just from the inevitable "cheating" where your dream depicts you sleeping with someone else but also from where I have been a nob in the wifes dreams and she wakes up with the hump, for something I haven't actually done biggrin

yes, they berate you for stuff they have conjured up in their own heads so having your unconscious available as well would mean certain permanent dog house residency for most males in a relationship.

Mine already does the stuff I have done in the past, things I am in the middle of doing and things she think I may do that will Piss her off, so that would give her an additional angle.

Pretty addictive according to: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0101458/?ref_=nv_sr_1

Fantastic film if you haven't seen it and have a few hours spare to drift into it. smile

Edited to add, had a very vivid dream this morning whilst the thunder and lightening was going, very beautiful girl turns up at the bar I'm in and reminds me we met at the Audi dealership (:WTF?confused) and she's been trying to track me down everywhere ever since, I lean in and play with her hair, wanting to kiss her. Her eyes look wonderful.

Then the cat started wailing and I woke up. frown

Not surprised if it felt like you were twiddling with its fur and looking into its eyes longingly....

From waht i remember mine would involve lots of very strange situations with people i barely know in places from my childhood whilst i tried desperately to be able to fly. I can currently only really jump up and float gently. Thinking about it does worry me slightly.

My old housemate had practically moved out and i hadn't seen him stay at home for months when he suddenly spent a week living back at the house. It turned out his gf was not talking to him because he had had a threesome with her sister and her mother in her dream and she couldn't face him as he'd let her down. rofl

He did not help himself by telling her she was crazy and he would never sleep with her mother.
"but would you sleep with my sister?"
"errrm no!"

She forgave him after a few days and they are now married. eek

They are properly mental when they do this, how can they rationalise it, their brains must work differently as I just box dreams off as fictitious, not real, my brain running a slightly kinky screensaver whilst it reorganises itself and I am not present to tell it to stop being daft, women seem to think its just a slightly lower priority reality.

And blokes are not daft enough to generally say, "yes, I have had that dream about your mum and your sister", they just commit it to local storage for quick retrieval later.... kind of like cerebral hedge porn.

Women must have similar dreams, I have known women to mention saucy dreams but not mention any names, probably Mr Darcy

Mine seem to be a cross between Armageddon, zombies and internet rule 34.

I think once the filth was filtered out some of mine would be absolutely spectacular.

I have alot of 'vertigo' dreams involving immensely tall structures or cliffs, with spectacular sweeping landscapes. Usually I'm near the edge of a huge fall with the sense of being dragged over the edge.

there was an old sci-fi film where they had invented a machine that could record experiences - they showed some investors an example recorded by someone wearing the head gear on a roller coaster and they could feel, see and hear everything, even the feel of the wind their hair and the G-force they were as good as there. in later parts of the film one guy has made up a snippet from a blokes sexual experience with some girl but he just made a small loop of where the guy... erm... dumps his load.....his unconcious body was found in a chair writhing every two or three seconds. They also recorded someone on their deathbed and the moment they die.... cant remember what the film was but entertaining.
Brainstorm. Great film and needs to be remade in 3d.

Wooaah, back the truck up there Jack!

She forgave him..?

After he spent a week exiled from him own home due to her dream, it was her that did the forgiving!

How very noble of her.

Shame he's not still at yours really, must be handy to always have somewhere to wipe your feet...

I have a lot of very violent dreams and almost broke a foot once trying to kick somebody in a dream, unfortunately I swung my foot hard down on a wooden rail by the side of the bed, fk me I was in agony for what seemed like days!
The ex was always slightly worried how most nights were going to turn out biggrin

My latest involves the tall leggy milf that I was talking to yesterday .
My first wife was another one of those that didn't speak to me for a week because she dreamed that I chatted one of our neighbours up .I wouldn't have minded too much if I had found the neighbour remotely attractive.

My wife also worries that I'm going to properly whack her one day. Apparently I'm quite mobile when I'm dreaming, she's caught me wandering round the room countless times, patting the bed down looking for stuff, and gave her quite a good shove one night when she tried to wake me up laugh
