Hms Duncan in Liverpool

HMS Duncan is Liverpool for a few days, if anybody is interested in going, it's a large boat !
Radar tech was telling me last night, some 'secrets' of the radar, and assured me the range was incredible and it could not be jammed by anything the Russians have .......
Beer talk or true ?

Digital adaptive beamforming means that it's much, much less susceptible to jamming, although not impossible.

In addition to core AAW, the potential Ballistic Missile Defence capability is supposed to be staggering. Innards and Sea Viper, perhaps less so. It's 50% of the platform it could have been..

For TBM's it could really do with a missile with a range similar to the USN's SM-3's which we don't seem to be pursuing but my guess would be the current Radar software would also need a big tweak to cope with the increased intercept speeds

Are these the ones we've paid for whose missile defense capabilities are staggering, but only if the waters is not to hot?
