I'm house hunting in the area on Saturday. Does anyone know of a place for a late lunch?

Preference would be non chain and meaty?

Thanks

Been once and loved it, many of my work colleagues have been a few more times and love it.

Thanks. I just found Cleaver. Has anyone used?

It looks well suited to a carnivore.

3 miles the other way, by Kingston Bridge on the riverside is Cau, Argentinian steak restaurant. I used to live nearby and it is very good. Good Earth in Esher as already stated is also a very good Chinese.

The Royal meat platter at Lanistars looks very tempting indeed.

Nothing special. Good earth is way better or the Cricketeers, downside common - just been refurbed and does amazing food.

It's not bad in there but Saturday might be full of screaming kids. The acoustics are such that they obviously don't want you to stay long. Esher is basically a high street full of restaurants. The Running Mare in Cobham does a decent rib eye and a fair price and I particularly like the Lobster frites in there. Cricketers is good, the Plough up by the station is also good. One thing this area isn't short of is decent places to eat. Which areas are you looking at? PM if you prefer.
