Goodwood Festival of Speed (Warning)
Discussion
Hi Everybody
For those going to Goodwood at the weekend - be warned the parking is pretty awful.
The ground is soaked and muddy as a bad day at Glastonbury. Just got back today and glad I took the Mini. 30% of all BMW's were stuck in the mud either getting into or out of the car park.
Even if it stays dry tomorrow I don't expect the mud will dry overnight and with all the traffic over the coming days its likely to stay like a quagmire all weekend.
4x4 or front wheel drive - and no low cars. Although I was quite impressed with a few 911 drivers still managing to get their cars out of the carparks - albeit at a funny angle

I'm taking the Aston but I'm in the performance car parking which I am advised by goodwood is on hard standing, is flat, and has metal things going across the grass. Hopefully that is true!
I managed to catch the front of my AMV8 on the metal track leaving the car park last year, one to watch or get some one to check for you.V8Andrew said:

Thanks for the heads up. Mine is pretty low so I'll be careful.
Here's a pic from another thread of what that looks like today, good luck...

Anyone know if the kinrara parking ( or getting in and out of it ) is that bad ? I have the sports suspension and n400 side sills on my V8V so it's pretty low. As per another post its in at Harwoods for a service Tuesday so it'll get a nice wash but I shudder at the thought of it being dragged out of Goodwood by a tractor. Got my old 335i msport convertable stuck a few years back ( when Kinrara parking was car park 1 with all the contractors trucks - wasn't ideal ) Weather doesn't look good for tomorrow. Guess I'll take the Landy.
