Thinking about fitting rear sensors on my GTS VX. Seems to be several on the market. I have a rear no.plate that fits the aperture (similar shape to a Rover 75) this would negate using the type of sensor that is incorporated in a standard size no. plate holder.
Anyone got any reccomendations?

I had the metal tape variety fitted front & rear, so no silly holes on the outside of the bumper assemblies & it works very well, get an intermittent tone that turns to a single tone with alarm bleeps when you are going to hit/touch something or someone.

Most effective when people run behind you when you are reversing.

Accutec in Kings Worthy (Chris) Winchester installed the system.

Thanks Will, do you know who makes it? Couldn't find Accutec on the net. I've not seen this tape style of sensor when searching the net. Sounds good as it must be relatively simple to fit. Can't imagine how it works through the bumpers, must be very powerful, or does it stick to the edge?
P.S Hope I get to see your GTS someday, it must sound great. My VT only had the front silencer & cat. I chucked out the horibble rear section that Rod replaced the standard HSV rear silencer with, prior to selling from new. Got a nice custom made SS straight through section instead. Sounded pretty good.
My Supercharged VX has big headers & 3in. tubing, but I have kept both silencers & cats. I do long motorway journeys & found my VT a bit booming. It's a good compromise, but I do like LOUD V8's.

May I recommend you give Chris a ring on 1962 886900 at Acutek, top guy & knows his stuff, he basically will get anything you want at the price you can buy for and he makes his money out of labour charges. No doubt easy to fit but then nothing is ever that simple. Yes I think we both share raw V8 sounds and thanks for the nice comments.

I know what you mean re: m/way driving, I normally will select a different gear to overcome, mind you there is over a thousands watts of hi-fi on hand. Need that s/w that copies your own noise & plays it back to cancel it out, Lotus I think did the development?

Meet up someday

Thanks Will, I'll check it out, always struggled a bit with rear visibility on these cars when parking.
I do remember seeing V8 HSV at LSV once, can't recall exactly when, over a year ago though. My old silver VT was there as well (might still be) looking pretty sad for itself!
