Looking to visit the ring in germany later this year & note the noise level 98db. My GTR is 3 years old & about 105db. Has anyone had the factory stainless system re-packed.
What difference did it make & can you recommend a firm to complete it (based in UK)?

I doubt you could get the factory setup down to 98dB. Have a search back through the archives. AndyGTT (Andycanam) did a very clever system on his Can-Am. I'm going back a while though.
The other option is to bolt temp mufflers on the rear to reduce the noise.

Try fiiting 2 of these in your headers and even 2 more in your tail pipes, they have sorted 2 cars I now know of...

Flowmaster has a series of mufflers that are likely to be quieter than the factory units (Delta series). Look like they would have better flow as well. After looking in the factory mufflers and noting the sizable decrease in tube diameter at the inlet you have to wonder what that is doing for the flow.
