V8 vantage rear light replacement
Discussion
Hello, I am after a bit of help please..
I have replaced a rear light cluster (07 model year - red lens) that blew due to condensation with a part sourced from the US via Ebay. The unit arrived in excellent condition and works beautifully when connected. The issue is with the two bolts that previously held the unit in place. The corner bolt fits perfectly but the left hand bolt i.e. more central to the boot, simply will not fit. I understand that if you upgrade to clear lights on older cars, a new set of bolts is required, but pretty stumped as to why this would be the case with two red lights, especially as the part numbers are identical.
Has anyone else come across this issue and, more to the point know what bolt might be required?
I have found the following on Aston Martin Bits (http://astonmartinbits.com/models/5-V8-Vantage/parts/2654) but it does explicitly say this for the clear lens conversion.
Thanks!
