Hi Peeps...

I have a pair of arm rests from a 350i which i think were possibly 1988-1990, They have a step in the sides facing the seats whereas in Poppy they are flat...Has anyone a pic of how it is trimmed please as i was going to re-trim them and fit them in Poppy...

Cheers

Mark, this is a shot from my '88 350i. It's a pre-purchase photo as the seats and trim are now looking quite faded. Not sure if this is the same as Poppy or your new arm rests? Cheers.

I have never seen that transmission tunnel trim joining the centre panel trim as in your car. Is it a custom job?

It was derived from the SEAC; various later cars used it including the last 280i 'US-spec' cars (which were also 'de-seamed' and some had hideous bonnet vents).

Hi Mark

Pics off a 350SE and SX350 arm rest from 1990 - 1991

Which I think are the definitive arm rests for the later 350i's.

Thought i would have a go at the new style arm rests...Had some Mulberry vinyl and think i might just re-trim Poppy...Although i doubt it will be pre-fest now...The only thing here is that i used a middle of the road black vinyl which is not really any good for 3D work as the stitching can pull through when stretched....As it did a bit just below the handle...I think its a good combo...I will have to finishes the handles i was making....smile
