A1 closure

I heard the A1 is closed near Newcastle.
The road has fallen down a suspected old mine .
It's suggested it will be open by Wednesday pm .
If it's true I would be very surprised if it's open in that short a time span .

The tyne tunnel is free and all barriers open during this closure to help with congestion.
