Ideas for a 50th birthday party

At the end of November it's going to be Mrs 111R's birthday party and there will be about 60 people there. It'd be nice to do something a bit special for her on the night but I am not sure what. Have you seen any good ideas used in other parties that I could use?

Not a B'day, but at a wedding recently someone brought a modern polaroid camera with a guest book and passed it around for the guests to take pics, stick them in the book with a comment. Seemed a nice memento for the happy couple.
