Ok last October/November, me my brother and his missus all got caught by speed cameras...

Fair cop I was doing 52 in a 40, paid up like a good boy as did my brother.

My Sis-in-Law never did...and reckons she now doesn't have to pay. She says she has a voicemail telling her it's been "squashed" and she needn't worry about it any more.

Do they really give up after a period of time on speeding offences? I thought there was a big fine for not responding.

Not wanting to sound unkind she's not the brightest...she said squashed. I never thought about asking how they'd got her number...

I'm worried in case she ends up with a big fine or in bigger trouble. She seems convinced she's in the clear.

I can't believe they'd leave it...I think I will ask to hear the voicemail.

I know people who said they never replied to the letter and never heard any more and it's been years now.
