For my mum and dad.

My wife and I are grasping at straws trying to think what to get them. They've done alright for themselves so don't tend to want for anything, which limits options as to what to buy because if they want it they've already got it or would get it.

I'm not sure if you're supposed to get something traditional because it's their golden anniversary, or that doesn't really matter?

Budget is around £200 and I'm open to ideas please.

Dinner at a spiffing restuarant?
Lunch at the Ritz?
Pampering for an afternoon at a Spa?
'Congratulations' banned towed behind an aircraft? Suspect may be rather more money!
Tickets to the best show in the area?
Bottle of Champagne?

And of course a huge card!

We found out where my Mum & Dad stayed on their honeymoon back in 1966 and booked them a stay for their 50th Anniversary. They loved it.

Cheers for the suggestions but we decided to up the budget quite a bit and bought them a 2 person hanging chair (one of those rattan globe style things) for the garden.

Seems a bit random I know but my mum is about to start her next lot of chemo so won't be getting out much, and my dad has been ill recently so they will both be spending quite a bit of time sitting in the garden (if the weather improves) over the next couple of months.
