Hope the mods don't mind me posting this, I'm a long standing member here and it's for a good cause and an inspiration to us cyclists.

His message for the fund raising:

I am currently in year 10 at Waddesdon CofE School. My hobbies are mostly sporting with rugby, cricket and cycling being my main interests. I'm cycling my first ever century, 100 miles across Wales on Friday 23rd June with my dad and in the summer holidays Coast to Coast!

I am participating in the Waddesdon CofE School expedition.

Kruger to Coast (Swaziland, South Africa & Mozambique) - Jul 2017

The trip involves expedition, project and cultural elements in these countries.

I'm really interested in the project phase where we help the communities in their conservation, construction and cultural work which benefits the children and future generations.

We also have expedition trips hiking in the mountains while doing all our own camp setup and food.

There is a marine biology section where we join the conservation project for the reefs off the coast and a visit to the Kruger National Game Park.

If you can help him get thre in any way you can, no matter how small it would be greatly appreciated.

Ben has now completed the first part of his challenge, cycling 105 miles from Wolverhampton to Aberdovey last Friday over the mountains in wind and rain!

Here is his route from his bike computer for those interested:

Ben had joined me after I'd completed two days in the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains, this was my 3rd century ride on consecutive days!

The day started with nice weather and we were all in high spirits.

Good excuse to eat a load of jam donuts!

Towards the middle of the day 50-65 miles in, the weather turned on us with very heavy rain and cold headwind which became very challenging, still managed to raise a smile though!

85 miles in, the weather started to improve again with sunshine and showers, spirits picked up again as we edged closer to the finish.

We had a little celebration when we passed 100 miles and an even bigger one when we finally came down Aberdovey High Street to the finish and even managed a sprint across the line at 105 miles done!

Very proud of him, massive achievement having just turned 15 years old! On to the Coast2Coast in the summer!

Again, thank you for any support you have given or are able to give.

Cheers
Paul
