How are you catching the GP?

I like watching the F1 live, as do all the people I've invited round for the first race of the season. So I got up at 1 this afternoon.

Anyone else going to watch the F1? What are your techniques for staying awake

Im going over to a friends about 6 ish. Well get some food, watch some car videos to pass the time and talk about racing most the night I expect.

Then itll start and ill probably fall asleep

Im sure ill be fine as long as its actually any good. At least the grid is going to be different even if I think the qualifying system is crap.

I don't normally sleep till 2-3am so i'm just staying up as usual.

That will entail no radio at work or in the cat, no PH and avoiding anyone who is likely to want to tell me the result.
I hope the race will be worth the hassle but I won’t get my hopes up.

This race, I will be mostly recording it with Sky+ and watching it around 8:30 when I wake up!

I'll watch the "highlights" later, all of the entertainment will be compacted into about 40 seconds for BBC news anyway.

I have often found the f1.com live timing to be more interesting than the TV (and the text based commentary is often better as well.)

Downside is that you definitely have to be up to watch it.

wow normally we only get the American GP's on at 3am, most of the Euro rounds are on around midnight. Still at least the Australian and Malaysian and Japanese are on at reasonable hours, watching it right now at almost 3pm We also usually get the BBC coverage (including annoying commentators) but for the Australian round we get our own annoying commentators...
