If I pass an order through to a management company to trade, what is reasonable time for them to execute on my behalf? I dont expect it to be immediate, but would have thought half a day at most would be acceptable unless you're trading something stupidly illiquid.

My experience with Charles Stanley is that it takes a day or two. The cheap platforms aren't great if you're trying to day trade.

One of two stopped trading last week, I'm thinking about some Robo advisers - it raised an interesting point. If you're with a broker though, and they didn't execute the first part of the transaction, a lot'll depend on when you placed the trade. If you've been disadvantaged, register a complaint. You wouldn't be the first.
