Alternator details?

I need to replace my alternator (Chim, 93) and was wondering if anyone had the part details?

Best way is to take it off and take it in to a decent Motor Factors, it will work out much cheaper than buying a TVR "right" one.

Lucas A127-XX, (probably 65 on a 93 car). Many people advise upgrading to one with a higher rating. Common failures are the diode pack / brushes, which are service parts. Details are in old Haynes SD1, RR & Disco books. Only v early LR ones had the same fitting, but on later ones you can spin the base by 60degs to suit (threaded flange is wrong - but they are clamped anyway)

Several types of A127 to choose from but best avoid the Romford / Southend option. Mine was the LR517 version, different options of connectors and whether left or right hand adjuster, thats not important though as its dead easy to change the bracket.

The box that mine came in had Fiesta crossed out and High performance British Supercar in best joined up writing underneath
