Anybody got any recommendations? Currently with HSBC, fixed for another year, but doing some quotes on their website it looks to me that it would be beneficial to pay the early release fee and start again on a better rate. Been trying to get a meeting with one of their mortgage advisors, but the service so far has been diabolical. Nearly a month and still not managed to speak to anybody so thinking of going elsewhere.

Actually, over a month was the end of May we started. Expected a wait as wanted a Saturday appointment, went into branch to book as no direct number to phone, girl seemed to struggle with actually making an appointment and said mortgage manager would phone next day. He eventually called a few days later and left a message with an appointment of Saturday June 26th, the 26th was a Sunday so assumed he meant 25th, then an email comes through to say appointment 2nd July. As I'm working this week I went back to branch to find out when the appointment actually was, and rebooked for 16th July, got an email to say the advisor is on holiday on the 16th. It's like banging your head against a brick wall.

Is it OK to email you sarnie? The address in your profile?
