A phew minot things have been annoying me about the M2. Love the car and have one on order.

I fancy fitting an illuminated knob as we all know its the small touches. lol

If I was being nasty (or just honest?), I'd want to add this lot to the list too:

Manual box without the auto-blipper.
Steering wheel mounted M-button.
Oil temperature gauge.
Some aluminium panels.

I agree with all of that also. Not fussy for the aluminium pedals though. Oh and a carbon fibre strut brace from the M3/4. As below.

Ah, yes I saw that retrofitted strut brace and thought it looked rather good.

Aluminium panels to reduce the weight much further south of its much bigger brother (the M4) would be nice though. The M4 is (according to Parkers) only 2kg heavier than the M2.

The M2 feels so much lighter and smaller though. It's agile, for me the perfect mix of my old E46 M3 and M135i and I'm only 9 days in smile

The CP M4 was much better to drive (than the normal M4) but it still felt like a much bigger car.

The only downside for me to the M2 so far is the attention from people, but I'm sure that will go away!

Ive yet to drive a M4 CP. I really want to before I finalise my build slot. The M2 when I drove it was just fantastic. It was very fast but felt as if it was useable. Controllable and just felt special. Just wish it had the power budge on the bonnet and the carbon roof. Would be just perfect.

I would have thought it would have flown under the radar quite a bit. The 1M certainly does except for petrol heads who know what it is and it's all positive. Anyone else doesn't look twice at it.

I get loads of abuse in the Z4. Really puts me off driving it certain times of the day/areas especially roof down.

As long as it's positive attention don't worry about it and smile.

Its all positive, even to the point of someone offering to buy it.

If it becomes as rare as a 1M (though I doubt it) you will have people calling to your door asking to buy it. It has happened a few times with us.

It's been all good though.

Recently on the motorway a van pulled up beside up and the side door flung open with 3 workmen giving it "we're not worthy" Waynes World style from inside the van. Never had a bad vibe diving the car yet unlike the Z4.

I'd be more wary of security with this type of car rather than a bit of positive attention. The guys wanting to smash your door in and take the thing are not exactly going to be obvious.

It's the ultimate chav car, get endless people in Ford STs and Golf Vs lowered with a remap trying to race you. Never had this with the 981 Cayman S!
