I have just returned from an 1,850 mile trip to the Swiss Alps and back with my wife in our 12C. It's the longest trip we have completed to date in the car and it was faultless. There was plenty of luggage space up front and on the rear shelf, we cruised through France, enjoyed many alpine passes and drove back through Germany at up to 150mph (it was busy).

What amazed me most was the total comfort, even better than my 911, no back ache, no pains and no tiredness even after 8 hour+ drives. in 10 days we drove 1,850 miles at an average of 53mph and 27.1mpg.

I cant think of any super-car that would be as comfortable, fast, reliable, spacious and economical as the 12C (apart from a 650s probably). I get more impressed with the 12C every day.

Fantastic, such an accomplished all round supercar.

I wish I could get that mpg in my 650S, the best I've achieved thus far is 18 mpg and the average has been 13.8 mpg since I bought it new 4,000 miles ago.

Hopefully the engine is loosening up a bit now and the sports exhaust also getting louder.

Great to see so many positive comments on the 12c/650s these days.

I feel the tide is definitely turning but it always takes time to build a brand no matter how good/superior the product may be

I have never got below 20mpg, Mostly 22-25mpg driving fast or in traffic and 28-32mpg for slower driving and motorways, 36mpg is best when 50 mph roadworks are en-route. And thats using 95RON too.

It does seem that the 12C is a little more frugal than the 650S (perhaps the front is a bit more slippy combined with 50 less torques). However the most frugal is the 675LT, some of the owners on FB are seeing up to 38mpg! Its remarkable engineering, being able to get above 30mpg in a sub 3 second to 60, 200+mph car while not purposely driving slowly is astonishing!

There must be some man maths in there which means I can justify £150k + more to get in a 675LT but hell I would have to drive it an awful lot of miles and probably live in it as well

I think the 675LT has enough hype (justified of course) without you joining in Rambo ;-)

Amazed you can get >20mpg on fast road driving. The car absolutely drinks fuel when you are on the throttle hard. On track it does 4.5mpg or thereabouts....

I must be doing something wrong also, love the car but the worst fuel economy so far, it loves a drink.

On track recently at Brands GP I recon on a tankful every 2.5 10 lap sessions roughly.

still a fantastic car mind.

My overall average is 20.1 mpg, but that includes trackdays, very fast road driving, and a little bit of pottering around. I have no doubt driven sensibly 25mpg + is achievable.

Recent journey from South London to St Albans, I have checked the computer with my own calcs and it is around 1mpg out usually so take 1mpg off. The hardest drive I did was an hour and a half to Goodwood and I got 23mpg. On the Autobahn at 110-150mph for an hour I got 18mpg, which is included in the average of my original post. Not been on track yet but I would imagine a lot less like all cars regardless. The second image is from a friends 675LT...!!!!

Only half of those miles were mine smile

I went out tonight and still only managed 33mph and 17mpg turned off and on the return journey got faster average and mpg

So moral appears to be faster you go the more economical the car is.

Agreed they are superb, I just got back from a 1000 mile round trip to Germany in my 12C. Averaged 74mph from the Ring to Calais and got about 22mpg. Saw 167mph on the speedo. Such an accomplished, comfortable car.

My half certainly not, in honesty I cant see how it can be 7mph would like to see others.
Mine is a sunday toy for the odd blast early morning, did one wales trip and two trackdays so far, I don't claim to drive it hard as its my baby but 7mph is a bit embarrassing.
would be interesting to see others numbers that get the 30mpg.

Thanks Bispal for posting up your experiences and MPG. Can't wait to pick mine up this Saturday! Great to hear that it's so flexible a car: I can't imagine driving that many miles in my V12 Vantage in one go - it would be too uncomfortable.

In comparison to the fuel economy I get on my Aston: 11mpg driving to work in the day and 17mpg at night. Although I do drive in a "spirited" fashion... biggrin

Yes I am my friend - thankfully the brown looks far less brown in real life compared to the photos... wink

I'll PM you - I was actually gonna post up what I should do next having bought a McLaren so this is perfect timing! smile
