Errrrrrrmmmmmm?

Could someone please tell me whats going on? Tony Crockford has got me worried now.
I`ll just say here and now I joind the club for info, exchange of ideas, and yes the insurance discount. However....... having spent a solid month rebuilding my Geep (and no, I`m not finished yet) I`ve once again fallen head over heels with her(it?). In this age of PCness it`s FUN. The number of Joe Public who ask me questions about her etc are uncountable and the offers of spares and help from "old time" mechanics (as opposed to "parts fitters") is incredible.
I might not be able to attend many shows, annual general meetings, or get togethers, but if you are in my neck of the woods and need help , advice(?), or moral support, SHOUT. THIS is what a club is about (in my view) and I`ll do my damndest to ensure it survives.
Sorry to go on so long(probably the port) but I do feel rather strongly about this. In days of old (twenty years to be precise) the club existed because................... Exactly!!!!!
Any one who has the time, willpower, and determination to ensure the club survives has my full and unadulterated support(however little that means).

For quite some time now it has been very difficult for the few remaining committee members to run the club successfully , but this is all about to change.

We have 3 new committee members who have filled the vacant posts , the new club sec. Ian , has already made contact with various magazines ensuring all contact details are up to date , the membership sec. Alan , is processing a number of new membership enquiries and I will be passing the content of the first Transmissions of 2005 to the printers this month for publication in April.

We will have a club display next Saturday at the Bingley Hall , Stafford Show , where Ian and myself will be happy to answer any questions you may have about the clubs future plans.

Dear Ady,
i'll second Marks reply. The club is back on track.
Tony's right in saying the club was great once and will be again.
As you may or may not be aware, the club has had a turbulent year which prompted Tony's announcement.
So don't worry Ady - the club is still here and will be getting better by the day.
Re: your Geep - is it the Khaki one you sent me the photo's of??? I wouldn't mind some more if you've done any more to it.

Thanks for the reassurance folks, its good to know that people do care about the club. I feel certain that it will continue.
Yes mine is the khaki one(well, infrared reflective green) and yes I have done a little more but mostly mechanical. There is a "custom"(ho,ho,ho)hood in the offing so I may well send pics when I`ve done, if its not too embarassing!
