The Wedge "Bible" states that the gearbox can be removed without engine removal? Basically disconnection from the bell housing, removing that, then the gearbox? Is this possible on axle stands? Thanks for any advice. J C.%

Thanks pk500. Yes height might be the problem given that the bell housing, according to the "bible" has to be rotated to facilitate the gearbox withdraw. Cheers J C.

I didn't reply as I took engine out first.....I don't know if you can get the 'box out by itself.

There's certainly more room than in the V8 to pull the box back, but the chassis tubes are very tight...

Delilah's came out by sliding it back a bit and then dropping it down...Although this was done on an arm lift and not axle stands.....

Thanks Mark. I suspect that on axle stands it would be a struggle for height to remove the bell housing to enable the gearbox to move forward and then removed. J C
