Following a resignation I'm looking to recruit an ICT Technician to work alongside me in Bristol, this is a varied role, in a small ICT department for a long established Bristol company.

This is not just a first line support role (though you will be the first port of call for all ICT queries) you will be working on all areas of our ICT infrastructure and the role will include project and documentation work as well.

Looking for someone with extensive skills in

MS Windows Server
Thin Client technology
Virtualisation (VMware, Veeam etc)
Office 365
SQL
MPLS networks and VPNs

The ideal candidate should be flexible, hardworking and, above all, reliable and personable - this is not an IT job for someone with no social skills!
This would suit someone with a good grounding and experience in ICT (we value experience more than bits of paper) who is looking to move upwards in their career.

You are asking for a lot from a technician, but I do know of a lot of guys and girls that could fit the role and have been make redundant. Would you mind telling us the salary?

I do get to meet some great folk some good some bad but good people doing what I do and if it is as you say I would be happy to point them in your direction.

Hey... your right, whilst technician is the role title, the actual opportunity here is much more.
It's a mix of first, second and third line support, with some server stuff and lots of other variety thrown in.

As a community interest company the salaries aren't that great but there are certain benefits (chief of which is parking at the office!)

The salary for this role is around £26k for a 37.5hr week

I will see how the lads are getting on and if they are interested I will PM you their details.

They could have all found work by now though.
