Just wondered if anyone has their service done at Chiltern Aston and if you can take your own oil?

Or indeed, if it is worth taking your own oil with Chiltern as opposed to others?

I didn't. 140 quid I think they charged for the 12 or 13 litres required if that helps inform your maths.

Thanks very much for the info - do you mind double checking what they charged for oil please?

Or anyone else for that matter.

Thanks

I recently bought 3x5litres of Mobil1 from Opie Oils for just over £90 so it would pay you to take your own oil.

Jeez that's a good price. Sometimes Eurocarparts has offers on, I got Castrol for my old V8 there for a ot less than the dealer. They aren't anywhere near that price on Mobil-1.
Is that a regular price with them or a "buy it now while you can" price?

It was their standard price at the time less a 10% discount offer on orders over £70. Always check on the net for voucher offers.

Eurocarparts (and GSF) have so many hyped offer on its comic. LAST EVER BANK HOLIDAY SPECIAL SALE! And then next day you get the 'extended for a week' offer email! Seriously just use Opie and look for a discount code to boot (PM smile ). They destroyed Euro Car Sale's super sale prices with no BS and I got Mahle air/oil filters for both Beemers too for cracking prices.

No issues with reasonable 'making a living' dealer mark ups here but when its 100% +...

Before VAT?

Either way, even at that price that's still over 10 quid a litre when you can buy retail, delivered, for half that (the exact same oil).

Oil is one of the biggest rip offs from main dealer servicing out there (any brand...Audi do the same for example). Tyres are another. Screen wash another.
