Can anyone recommend an online opticians for prescription Oakley's. I have worn them in the past and they have lasted a long time, the non Oakley glasses I am wearing at present have developed a crack in the frame and I can't see them lasting much longer. I want everyday glasses, not the wraparound sunnies. Also being a stingy Scot I want to spend as little as possible.

Thanks in advance.

I bought a pair of Oakleys at Spectacles Outlet in Misselburgh. They also have a branch near the Edinburgh Royal apparently. Good service and prices seem OK.

I got mine from http://www.eyewearbrands.com

Great service and they have 20% off at the moment. Got my ones for half the price I would of paid in Vision Express. They are genuine too. biggrin

I used Vision Express. Ended up paying £330 for 2 pairs. Not a great deal. Would go online next time.

Got a quote from them for RX lenses for my Flak Jacket XLJs. £375! Suffice to say RXSport got my custom for those at 'only' £240.

I don't know if they do mail order but I've just bought a pair of Holbrooks, varifocals with dimming lenses for £250 from Buy Specs Direct.

Sorry to hijack the thread.

Anyone know if it's possible to get normal prescription lenses coated with one of the Oakley coloured chrome finishes?

I have a slightly unusual/strong prescription and Oakley don't do the high cyl I need, I would like to get the same coating/finish on my prescription sunnies without involving Oakley.

Ta!

I have bought from Specsuperstore a few times using Oakley frames with Varifocals and have been very happy and would use again.

An Oakley coating? Doubt it - the prescription lenses I have for my Oakley Flak Jackets came from Oakley themselves (via RX Sport - awesome service). Can't see them coating other people's lenses.
