Anyone going? It's pre-booked tickets only this year. Not sure what to expect with all the new regulations, but time will tell if it's worth it.

Surprised to see an F-22 Raptor on the aircraft list...

Will be there Saturday. Looking forward to it.
Having been to the spring show, things are a bit further away, but I didn't really notice a difference apart from the speed. Be interesting to see the Raptor, wanted to see them when in the UK in May. An odd addition, but a noce one.

Good photos. The penulitmate one caught my eye - a Sea Fury with land camouflage?

Lovely pictures.

The Sea Fury began life as the Fury i.e. it was intended for the RAF as well as the Royal Navy. Therefore, the prototypes flew in the RAF markings of the day - as amended for prototypes i.e dark green and dark grey upper surfaces with yellow undersides and a large yellow "P" on each side of the fuselage. The RAF weren't that interested as they were looking at jets by then.

It's nice to see a single seat Sea Fury in this scheme - although some Fury prototypes had a four blade prop rather than the production standard five blade prop. The naval prototypes did have five blades.

One of the prototypes had a Rolls Royce Griffon.

This is a period colour shot of one of the prototypes on display at Farnborough.

Here is a Napier Sabre powered prototype -

And here is a Griffon powered example -

What's that in the background Eric? Looks like a Walrus, but with a forward facing radial?

Agreed it was a great show this year even though there seems to be less flying each year. It was nice to see the F22/P51 display. It was a bit grey Saturday but I still somehow got sun burnt. :/

I'm guessing the regulations prevent the sort of antics that I saw last time I went? eek This was a few years ago though.

Yeah there was none of that this year. They were a lot further back and didn't cut the left hand corner like they normally do.
