Just to say that I recently purchased via Ebay a pair of Blackcircles Budget tyres. On enquiry to Blackcircles to ascertain the make of tyre I'd bought, I was told that ;- whatever we have in your tyre size and other than that we cant tell you. Even the garage, due to fit the tyres, couldn't tell me what they would be recieving from Blackcircles to fit to my vauxhall saloon car. So be warned that you are buying blind. Blackcircles on their Ebay listing, showed a long list of well known brands none of which had made my tyres, these were made in China (briway bfu 69) of which I'd never heard of. Please be fully aware that you take "Pot Luck" with Blackcircles Budget Tyres. ps the appointment made to the garage re fitting, was of a different day & time to the one they gave me !! and the garage said I should have been there yesterday, but when I showed them my confirmation, apologised and kindly fitted them anyway. pps. have no reply to 2 emails post purchase from Blackcircles and ended up phoning them in the end.

Why didn't you just buy normal tyres from Tyreleader or Oponeo? Probably would have been cheaper than your Briway BFU69s...

I usually go for Falken or a Name last pair were Goodyear's and have had no problems. Bit pointless going to Blackcircles for "what have you got in the back mate", at least have an idea what works on your car.

Yes, as one would expect when ordering from a site with a huge list of brands then you selecting the unknown 'value choice' option.

If you care one iota about what tyre you end up with then why not try the revolutionary idea of selecting the brand!

So, you bought the absolute cheapest tyres that dont specify a name and are upset that they didnt specify a name ?

At those prices you get something that keeps your wheel rim off the ground and satisfies tread depth regulations and that is about it, it will more than likely be pretty bad.

OP, thanks for sharing, this is good to know.

So to recap, if I ever I buy Budget tyres and am told they will supply whatever they have in my tyre size, I will expect some random Budget tyres to turn up in my size.

Didn't your mother ever tell you that it's rude to mock the afflicted?

I went on BlackCircles.com at the recommendation of my local garage, because they get a fair price for doing the fitting through them rather than direct from me and I ended up paying less overall.

But I did choose the tyres I wanted.

Unlike that time I went to Lidl and was totally surprised with the £5 bottle of "sparkling wine based drink" didn't turn out to be a chilled bottle of Moet..

from their web site, "Budget brands provided for a cheaper price.
Brands offered can vary based on current stock availability."
have ordered budgets from black circles in the past and was well aware that I would get what they had in stock.

Hmmm....they couldn't really make it any clearer that you will get a BUDGET brand tyre, and the brand itself will vary:

I'm not sure what else you were expecting. confused

I started reading that hoping he got a couple of contis or super sports in the lottery of life and it was to be full of praise.

As stated above: man buys cheap and blind then staggered he got cheap tyres. I would however be interested in other lifestyle observations from OP. Have you for example holidayed in Thailand and been surprised when the girl you met in a bar with a large Adam's Apple came equipped?

With that in mind I'll never use the company. What a set of chancers. Disgrace.

Did the OP opt out in Brexit then
