two things to ask really,

1) wheres the best place to get one of these babies?

and

2) how do u hard wire it in like in my bros tuscan, so i can simply just plug it in the boot???

At the risk of thread jacking -

I'm struggling to find a portable conditioner. Cerb is garaged (communal with no power outlets near my slot and underground - hence ruling out any solar powered options).

I'm looking at the emergency starters from sealey, however, surely there must be someone making a portable conditioner i.e. charge it up inside the house and take out to the car when you know that the car would be lying there for a couple of weeks.

Without doing the maths, I can imagine that any unit capable of generating 1,000 A burst could provide a trickle of 100mA over a couple of day period ...

I would much rather the idea of having a unit sitting in the footwell and re-conditioning through the cigarette lighter, than simply jump starting the engine as and when I wanted to take her out.

Is anyone aware of any such device ? Searching previous threads just brings up the solar option ...

And in advance - yes I'd love to be able to drive the Cerb regularly enough to keep the battery charged through the alternator - however, you can't always get what you want ... !

E-bay is the place to get them -- the going rate is between 25 and 30 quid. I have one for sale on there at the moment. Got so frustrated after losing at least half a dozen auctions for one, that I bid on two and won them both

checked her out on sat (150mile drive!)

loads of reciepts for new cams, sports systems, new ecus, new air con, shocks, clutch, etc etc! just serviced lovely condition i cant go wrong!! tapets all done etc

drove great, looks great! sold to me!!
