Parked airliners

As I landed at Heathrow this evening I noticed something about all the planes that were parked up. The rudder (if that's not the right term I mean the vertical flap on the tail) was always left turned seemingly on full-lock.

I've flown through Heathrow so many times, but have never noticed this before. So is it something that's normal, and if so why do they do it?

Apparently due to the lack of hydraulic pressure when the aircraft is parked up allowing the wind to move it.

wind i think, stops them flapping about.

Ah-ha! Thanks, that would explain it, the landing was a bumpy one as well, so there was plenty of wind around this evening.
