I have been driving my car for a couple of months now and feel like it could be a little bit quicker..

Any ideas.

Apparently a remap will release quite a few extra horses. Look at Ehresmann automotive 👍

Quicker corner speeds = geo

Quicker in a straight line = remap

Looks too good to be true, but if it is kosher then it's a steal. Gets rid of the mid range hole which all 981s suffer from (but does add a minor one at 5200). Similar kit for 3.4 engine looks even better to me (2,7 not so good). I'd be interested to see anyone's independent before and after power curves.

in USA they seem less worried about modifying their new cars and GT4/Spyder have Fabspeed kits available with race or sport headers, coupled with larger throttle body, remap, and getting circa 420 plus hp

Not driven a GT4 yet, so can't comment on the relative performance, although it's often the case that such a capable chassis will be able to accommodate more power.

'On track', the other answer is normally "driver coaching".

Yes Fabspeed have been quite active in developing mods for the GT4

I assume that the GT4 would be impossible to drive beyond 5/10ths on the open road and would take a decent track pedaler to explore its limits on circuit, either way, a nice problem to have !

I've bought from Fabspeed before - sport headers for my 991 GTS. They're a solid company who stand by their products. I did a pre- and post-install dyno on the headers and found they weren't doing anything. Fabspeed took them back and designed me new ones (turns out the cat on the GTS has a wider aperture than on the regular Carrera), which they sent me back along with a generous discount. Tested the new ones on the same dyno in the same way and they've added about 30 lb/ft at 4,000rpm. I'm going to leave the exhaust on my Spyder intact as to me it sounds perfect but am considering IPD plenum + TB + Cobb tune for the Spyder in a while, and would certainly buy from Fabspeed again.

Fabspeed and Cobbs claims for their products are much more modest than FVDs - and seem more believable to me.

Big thread discussing the FVD software.. http://rennlist.com/forums/gt4/921720-fvd-brombach...

Seems legit.. could be tempted if it weren't for the warranty.

I read the thread but didn't see any independent before and after figures that would validate the claims.

Get some expert tuition from a race instructor - lots of it.
