Oooh, Ospreys

Just tidying up the garage, and heard something "odd", so went out o look, and there overhead (East Yorkshire) were two V22 Ospreys, the tilt rotor thingies, looked mighty weird, and a unique sound.

Something sounding very unusual woke me up just before 4pm this morning, flying very low over my house. Sounded like a cross between a heavy helicopter and a freight train with a bit of jet whine. Wonder if that was an Osprey?

I was tracking a couple via ADS-B at the weekend.
If I remember rightly, one of the call signs was KNIFE71

Knife 72 comes over York a couple of nights a week, sometimes accompanied by Knife 71.

Amazing noise they make, they make a chinook sound subtle.
