German genuine Porsche parts retail onseller
Discussion
NBTBRV8 it all depends on price and exchange rate. I live in Australia so postage is $$$. I also have a base in the UK where the postage from Germany isn't $$$ and I can reclaim the VAT when I leave.
My research and logic suggests that parts in Germany will be the least expensive as there's no transport cost.
If you have a different perspective and can recommend a supplier that is competitive please advise.
Thanks,
John

was8v I had a look. I'm currently after a new oil pump which I found on their very nice website at
http://www.rosepassion.com/en/cat/porsche-964-1992...
The price focused my mind! EUR 1436.69 incl. VAT. I couldn't see any mention of whether it was in stock. My reference price is half that (but no stock until August.) Something crazy going on?

I live in Aus too and use www.sonnenoemporscheparts.com, they are the cheapest dealer I can find on the net. Their website is fully priced too.My research and logic suggests that parts in Germany will be the least expensive as there's no transport cost.

Try http://www.genuineautoparts.com too
Unsure precisely where they're based, however their customer service rep who got in touch with me to clarify my order was based in Australia

Just to add that your local OPC, perhaps surprisingly, might be the cheapest. I've hunted for a few bits and pieces and they've actually come up cheaper than a lot of the sites mentioned in this thread. They will at least usually match other prices and post out for free if needed, I usually collect though.
Edit:
Just seen this is for a 964, not sure how good their 'classic' prices are.
