I thought I started a thread, but it seems to have disappeared. Perhaps it was deleted as disguised ad??

I am interested in values as am considering trying to renew insurance with an agreed value...
I suspect the market value of my 02 reg red rose is now £32k ...? But haven't been studying the values, ads, sales...

I've gone on the "What it'd cost to get a like-for-like (ish) in the classified at the moment, plus a bit."

Obviously there aren't two the same meaning finding an exact replacement is not realistic, so you need to factor in what it might take to make another one as good as the car you have and that'll be more than the market value.

For me, that meant seeing plenty of 4.5 Cerberas for sale at around £20,000 this year and adding £4,000 for replacing the exhaust, short induction, switchable custom mapping and wheels as I'm not particularly precious about the colour in as much as if the replacement was blue rather than Sherwood Green Pearl, I'd prefer to keep it original and leave it the colour I found it.

For Red Rose Cerberas (Which mine might be in the autumn), it's a bit more difficult as I haven't seen any for sale this year and I've looked pretty often.

I'd say another £5k on the price of a standard 4.5 in case you need to get a replacement built up to be a Red Rose at somewhere like TVR Power, plus a bit more as a buffer because of various other bits and pieces you might find or need.

So with your guesses there, you're probably not far off a sensible suggestion to an insurer.

I think I've been a bit conservative with my £24,000 estimate, but I did only pay £16,000 for it 12 months ago and I'm pretty confident I could replace it for £24,000 if I needed to and be content with what I'd bought.

I'm a good haggler.
