I'm looking at starting an E-tail business and growing it organically alongside other commitments.

What is the best way to register a company without using your home address if you do not have and office or Accountants yet?

I'm thinking a PO box?

I'm pretty sure you can't use a PO Box for a registered office. It has to be a physical address. You can, of course use a PO Box on your website as a correspondence address, though.

There are loads of companies that will give you a registered address to use for a few quid a year.

I think I pay something like £70pa for the one I use for a dormant company.

These guys are only £45/year https://www.registeredaddress.co.uk/officeservices - it depends what you want to do with it though. If you want to process returns there or use it for other mail the cost will be higher and if you want to have something that looks more 'realistic' then you might want another more local option.

Hi Herbs; my advice is to find your local Mailboxes ETC. You can get an address that you can use for a registers address as well as actual mail handling; so you can have returns sent to it as well as send things from there if need be. It's been one of the best, unexpected, successes for me with my setup.

Thanks for the reply

I've gone ahead and set it up at my home address to save time but will look into and update the details once trading.
