$60 is not bad at all considering its nostalgic value :-)

I have to say I often like the idea of retro gaming more than the reality. I've downloaded emulators in the past to have a rip and with the exception of Streets of Rage 2 on the Mega Drive, I quickly get bored.

Play for a little longer on my tablet on a plane with no other choice but at home no chance.

AS you can do all of that with an emulator on something like a Raspberry Pi plugged into he TV, not sure what market they want.

People who want to hark back to the old days of just plugging something and playing it rather than faffing around setting it up, downloading updates, etc. I guess.

I won't be getting it, the vast majority of old games haven't aged well, no matter how good you remember them being!

Recent games such as the Wing Commander series and Freespace are bad enough to replay. I dread to think about older games cry

Trying to understand why people would buy one of these?

I would be sure you could get the games on your phone or tablet. Why would i want to spend good money on old tech?

Phone/tablet gaming is not a direct substitute for a telly and actual physical controllers.

You can order the Japanese only mini Famicom version on eBay, bit expensive with the markup and shipping but I'd imagine it will be a good collectors item.

Novelty for all of 10 mins. Decent money maker for Nintendo, you'll see loads for sale on eBay when people get bored.

Have you got one?

Im thinking a very cheap but nice looking box which is small enough to be hidden away when not in use with pacman, exitebike, mario, donkey kong for times when mates are round or nieces and nephews.
