argh! Help! Can't get into car!

Flat battery yesterday, so I scrambled around the foot bay to get the battery out, left it on charge all night.

Went to put it back in this morning and can't get into the car! Tried the manual method of twisting the car locks anti-clockwise and clockwise - no joy!

Can someone help! Need to get moving, get to work and more get my dirty washing out the boot!

Is there another way into the car?

Forgot to say that it's a 93 Chim.

Just as a footnote to this.. this is not a manual method of unlocking the car, all this is, is a way of disabling the "button" action of the lock so that the car is effectively "locked" without the alarm being set. When the alarm sets (when holding the button in as you rotate the key), you will hear the door solenoids moving to physically lock the car (as well as the alarm setting), and no amount of wiggling the key about in te lock will move them back if you have a flat battery.

All sorted now! New Battery as the old one was kaput, a new alternator - tried and tested the old one, but that was kaput too! For some reason, the cobra alarm will not work, so we tried (Auto Electrician) to see why, it's kaput - so replacement on order!

All I can say is thank godd for help from M@H and some friends at a car repair shop. The shonky wiring really gave us the run around, but we're getting there!

Did have a service last week at Austec, few things resulted from that i.e. revving at 2000 and a dodgy earth on my rear lights. All being sorted, so once done the car will be a joy to drive again!

Will let Austec know about the revving, apart from that they did a grand job on my wishbones among other bits and pieces - though they didn't put the positive back on the battery properly.
