Anyone know if one of these has got IVA from DVLA for road usage?

I know this isn't answering your question but: Why, why would anyone *want* one IVA'd and on the road?

Ride height is non-existent, every bump (never mind speed bump) will be a grinding affair. They have appauling low speed manners. Driving one anywhere on public roads is just going to be a complete headache.

The closest one in terms of getting it through IVA would be the Vulcan. There is a lot involved in it as you can find out in the latest issue of Evo magazine.

I am the guy who drives the guy who drives Miss Daisy. This is not for me...

It sounds like you have driven a Vantage GT3? Or do you just assume it will have appalling low speed manners? Interested to hear more!

Chap who races up here brought up his Vantage to race at the last round of the 2014 season. I've not had a shot but have seen it in action and been on track at the same time, also tried it on for size whilst stationary.

Our race MINIs are pretty low in the grand scheme of things, not stupid VW scene low, but still low for a road car. They are also road legal and I've used one on the road, it clears most things except for speed bumps. They are about the limit of how low useable road cars can go. The Vantage is lower by some margin, in fact, its even lower than the Super Touring spec Accord it was racing.

Through the paddock and in the pitlane, it was in pretty much permanent kangaroo mode. Not the fault of the driver, they're just not built for the ability to trundle at 5-10mph in traffic or take off gently from a set of traffic lights. Equally, the clutch is meant to take the instant pain of launches and full bore gear changes, being gentle with it or trying to slip it will actually increase the wear rate massively. That's why the teams that run them generally push them around or tow them with quad bikes.

Driving position is brilliant for what you need on track, would be a ruddy nightmare trying to get one out of a junction or see properly at a roundabout with the A-pillar roll cage.
